What is it?
Our signature program, The Healing Collaborative, is an intersectional healing community for BIPOC who struggle with food and/or body image. The program consists of a communal recovery space and 1-on-1 peer support.

We are seeking facilitators to run our 8-week program, twice a week. Using pre-established curricula, we want facilitators who can actively engage with participants, create a safe environment, and foster healing.

Role Type: Part-Time Employee

Leadership and Training: Facilitators will receive trainings once per year, and regular check-ins to ensure you are supported.

Recommendation: After 6-12 months, you will receive a character and skill reference letter on request (for management, other volunteer positions, etc). Contingent on performance.

Continue to strengthen your own relationship with food.

Qualifications:​

Lived experience with disordered eating and/or a challenging relationship with food and body image
-
Previous facilitation experience preferred
-
Have been recovered/healed/in recovery for 2+ years
-
Willing to share healing/recovery journey with members
-
21 years or older
-
Live in North America
-
Ideal: You identify as a Black, Indigenous, and/or Person of Color
-
A willingness to learn (and unlearn). Discussion and training topics include, but are not limited to: Fatphobia, Racism, Trauma, Abuse, and Queerphobia.

Empathy

Able to adapt content and discussions to the needs of the group

Skillfull in promoting overlooked voices in community spaces

Available to run community sessions in the following time frames:

Mondays and Wednesdays, between 8 PM ET and 10 PM ET

We are seeking mentors to assist members as they work through their personalized healing plan, and to be a source of support.
​
Role Type: Volunteer

Leadership and Training: Peer Advocates will receive trainings once per year, quarterly community meet-ups, and monthly check-ins to ensure you are supported.

Recommendation: After 6-12 months, you will receive a character and skill reference letter on request (for management, other volunteer positions, etc). This recommendation is contingent on performance and feedback evaluations.

Continue to strengthen your own relationship with food and body image.

Qualifications:​

Lived experience with disordered eating or a challenging relationship with food and body image.

Identify as being in a solid space of healing from disordered eating.

Possess the ability to build deep, nurturing relationships.

Willing to share healing/recovery journey with community member(s).

21 years or older.

Live in North America.
